In New Zealand, the Moeraki Boulders are a grouping of large stone spheres at the ocean's edge. They are explained to be a natural phenomenon called concretion, in which a mineral-cemented mass is formed within layers of sediment. However, the numerous near-perfect spheres challenge the laws of chance and beg a different answer and are too perfect to have been made with primitive stone tools as some sources suggest.
